I make this report under paragraph 7, Schedule 5, of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 and regulations 28 and 29 of the Coroners (Investigations) Regulations 2013.

SUMMARY OF CORONER’S CONCERN a) the lack of guidance at a national level concerning the transfer of patients with both serious eating disorders and complex emotional needs from one trust to another eg when they leave home to go to university in another part of the country and b) the lack of a clear treatment pathway/protocol for such individuals.’
